As a non-profit foundation furthering innovative economies throughout the region, BioSTL has a story to tell. Utilizing a complete brand-centered sign package throughout their modern space, they boldly proclaim their why and how. So much so that the BioSTL won the SEFA Lab of 2022 award, recognizing it as a lab excelling in architectural plans, designs, and execution.

BioSTL’s history-filled lab features environmental graphics & architectural signage around every corner. Partnering with Kuhlmann Leavitt, Inc., Engraphix custom fabricated every element from the vinyl graphics to the dimensional timeline walls.

• Dimensional Timeline Wall: Featuring vinyl graphic lettering, dimensional elements, a hidden wall logo, and raised images- the variety yet simplicity of this piece makes for a stunning statement wall.
• Interpretive Signage: Educating visitors on the legacy of discovery and history of the building, these interpretive exhibits utilize different features to achieve the same purpose. Displaying photographs on either dimensional panels or clear acrylic backing elicits different experiences. One causes the display to pop, while the other gives an illusion of floating.
• Wall Logos: As a home for multiple business branches, different wall logos were crafted for the space. BioSTL’s logo wall features an internally illuminated design, while the partnering business reps a halo-lit logo.
• Exterior Signage: Varying from brick murals, monument signs, illuminated blade signs, and wayfinding panel signs, BioSTL explores different ways to showcase its brand and market its space from the exterior.
